TAN-DELTA & RESISTIVITY TEST FOR INSULATING OIL

Type: tdrnt02

TDRNT02 measures dielectric parameters like D.C. resistivity, dielectric constant and loss factor of the insulating oil of transformers, circuit breakers etc.

Loss angle & dielectric constant MODE:
This mode can measure dielectric constant & dissipation factor (tanδ).

Measuring Range :

Dielectric constant 1 to 10
Dissipation factor 0.01% to 100%

Accuracy :

Dielectric Constant + 2% of reading + .001 of FSD
Dissipation factor + 3% of reading + .0001 tanδ

Test Voltage for loss factor :

0 to 2000 V AC, 50 Hz.
Metering : Digital

Resistivity mode:

his mode is provided with 500 V DC power supply with accuracy of + 5% to measure the resistivity of the sample under test.

Range : 109 to 1016 ohm-cm in 7 ranges.
Test Voltage : 500 V DC.
Accuracy : + 10% of reading + 2% of corresponding range FSD
Metering : Analog

Three Terminal oil CELL:

The cell is fabricated out of stainless steel and Teflon is the insulating material used for isolation of the three electrodes i.e. H.T. Electrode, Guard Electrode and Central Electrode.

Heating CHAMBER:

This chamber uniformly heats the test cell and sample under test upto desired temperature to a maximum limit of 1200 C.

Temp. Range : From 200C (minimum) or ambient to 1200 C.
Indication : Digital.
Accuracy of Temperature control : + 20C
Power Supply : 240V + 10%, 50 Hz, Single Phase AC.

Capacitance & Tan-Delta Measuring Equipment along with its accessories is suitable for testing motors, Power Transformers, H.V. Bushings, Generators, Power Capacitors, cables etc. at power frequency. Periodic measurement of dissipation factor & capacitance on new solid insulators and those on long service period produces comparative result about the trend of deterioration of insulation resistance before insulation breakdown occurs.
Thus, the set is ideal to conduct routine diagnostic tests on solid insulating components, equipment required for High Voltage generation, Transmission and Distribution.

The Set is in four units:

PARTIAL DISCHARGE test set

type: pdnt02

This Test Kit is used for non-destructive means of assessing the quality of high voltage transformers, motors, cables etc., which are used in generation & distribution of electric power.

The basic system consists of-
Discharge measuring module
Input : 230volts, 50Hz., single phase AC.
Measuring Range: 0 to 5,50,500,5000pC in different switchable ranges.
Discharge pulses can be detected and measurement can be done

in analog scale as well as in PC.

MATCHED MEASURING IMPEDANCE
In series with standard capacitor this forms a voltage divider and decouples the high frequency signals to feed the discharge measuring module. The set is electrostatically shielded.

  • Standard Capacitor: 100pf or 1000 pf.

This Test Set is capable to measure low resistance like switch contacts, breaker contacts, busbar splices, joints, fuses, low inductive windings etc. by circulating high value of D.C. through the contact/junction and measuring D.C voltage drop (4 terminal method) which, sent to instrument amplifiers , thereby being displayed on resistance meter.

These are the test benches incorporating control & measurement circuitry necessary for testing single phase as well as three phase transformers of several VA to MVA rating & voltage class of 11KV/433V,as well 33KV/11 KV, after manufacturing, repairing, reconditioning. Usually, these sets are made for 11KV/433-voltage class. However, additional step up transformers are available at extra cost to suit the test sets for 33KV/11KV class.

Apart from the existing Types, sets as per requirement of customer may also be manufactured.

INSULATION RESISTANCE CUM POLARISATION INDEX TEST KIT

TYPE: IRPI5KMN

This apparatus is perfectly suitable for diagnostic testing i.e. insulation resistance and polarisation index, of a wide variety of heavy duty electrical equipment & system like transformers, high voltage insulators, power cables, motors, electrical installation etc.

Input : 240 V + 10%, 50Hz. ( + 3%), single phase AC.

IMPULSE VOLTAGE GENERATOR

The impulse voltage generated in the electric power transmission and distribution system due to lightning or switching phenomena can be simulated by generation of impulse voltage of particular shape in the laboratory. This Test Set can be used to perform impulse voltage test on electrical equipment chosen as sample to check the insulation coordination of the same.

(2500Joules).

Nature of Impulse wave: 1.25/50ms.
The above multistage Impulse generator will be consisting of following major sections.
DC charging Unit capable to provide continuously variable D.C. voltage of either polarity to charge the
generator capacitor.
Charging resistors are stacks of non-inductive high value resistance, suitable to work at the rated high
voltage, to keep the charging current within safe limit.
Generating capacitor is condenser bank arranged vertically one over the other along with the
corresponding spark gaps aligned properly. Spark gaps will be between spheres or hemispheres of 50 to
150 mm diameters. Capacitor bank will be designed to undergo efficient charging / discharging operation
and capacitance value will be such, that on dead short circuit they will be capable of giving impulse
of at least the specified power in Joules.

Triggering system for the spark gap will be provided.

Wave shape controlling resistor & capacitors

Voltage measurement

A voltage divider of either resistor type or capacitor type will be provided. An oscilloscope with Data recording arrangement or a storage oscilloscope can be connected across the divider for measurement
of voltage across the test object.

Protection:
The D.C. charging unit will be provided with zero start interlocking, over load, overvoltage protection.
