This trainer uses IC 555 timer to pulse an infrared Led. This IC is connected as an astable multivibrator (oscillator) that has a frequency determined by RFC Values. The battery charges capacitor C1 through Resistor R1. When push button is pressed, the Direct Current (DC) charge is applied to the input of the IC causing it to pulse the infra-red LED for about 1-sec.
